Guy Fawkes night

Yesterday was Bonfire night and to celebrate i will tell you about the story of Guy Fawkes.

On November 5th 1605, some people wanted to assassinate king James I of England during the opening of parliament by trying to blow up the houses of parliament with 36 barrels of gunpowder. But Thomas Knyvet found Guy Fawkes hiding in the houses of parliament cellar. So they executed all the people in on the plot and that is how bonfire night started.

To celebrate bonfire night we have bonfires and put little Guy Fawkes on them, we watch fireworks and do sparklers.

HAPPY BONFIRE NIGHT!!!

Next week we learn about Pangolins, how to speak German and my weekend with Gartlands.
