There are 10,000 Echidna's in the world.

Echidna's can run 2.3 kilometres per hour.

Dingo's, Goanna's, Snakes and cats all eat Echinas.

Christmas

 This Christmas, i got a lot of presents including a magic 8 ball, a Fuggler, a pool table, a lot of books, a book how to blog and lots more. In my stocking i got a lot of sweets and toys. But the best part is, the dinner had pigs in blankets. Merry Christmas from me Milo.

Hand print Arctic fox

 2 days to go. This weeks amazing art is for my best friend because it's his birthday. So Oscar, this weeks art, which is a hand print Arctic fox is for you!

Includes:

a glue stick

black card

paper

a black colouring pen


Instructions

Step 1: Place your hand on paper, and cut around. This will be the body

Step 2: Cut out a big triangle with the paper. Make sure not to make too big

Step 3: Cut out 2 small triangles with the paper, and stick on the straight line of the big triangle, as the Arctic fox's ears

Step 4: Draw the Arctic fox's face with the black pen 

Step 5: stick the head on the body with the glue stick. Then stick that on the black card

Mince pies!

 6 days till Christmas, so this week i will show you how to make Mince pies!

Ingredients

1 jar Mincemeat ( about 600g )

2 Satsumas, segmented and finely chopped

 Apple, finely chopped

Zest 1 Lemon

Little icing sugar, for dusting


For the pastry

375g Plain flour

260g Unsalted butter, softened

125g Caster sugar, plus extra for sprinkling

1 large egg, plus 1 beaten egg for glazing


Instructions

Step 1: Place 375g Plain flour and 260g softened Unsalted butter in a bowl and rub together to a crumb consistency.

Step 2: Add 125g Caster sugar and 1 beaten egg, and mix together

Step 3: Tip out onto a lightly floured surface and fold until the pastry comes together, be careful not to over mix

Step 4: Wrap the pastry in cling film and chill for 10 mins

Step 5: Scoop the large jar of Mincemeat into a bowl and add 2 segmented Satsumas, 1 finely chopped Apple and zest of 1 Lemon

Step 6: Heat oven to 220/220 fan /gas mark 7

 Step 7: Roll out the pastry to 3mm thick

Step 8: Using a round cutter (about 10 cm), cut out 16 bases and place into muffin trays. Put 1 1/2 Mincemeat mixture into each. Brush the edge of each pie with a little beaten egg.

Step 9: Re-roll out the pastry to cut 7 cm lids and press them on top to seal. Glaze with the beaten egg, sprinkle with the extra Caster sugar, then make a small cut in the tops

Step 10: Bake the mince pies for 15-20 mins until golden brown. Leave to cool before releasing them from the muffin trays and dusting with a little more icing sugar before serving

Hand print Christmas tree

09 days till Christmas so weeks amazing art is a hand print Christmas tree.

Step 1: Dip your hand in paint and print onto a peace of paper. You should print 9 in the shape of a pyramid.

Step 2: Get a star shaped, red card as a star and put on the top of the tree.

Step 3: Get a brown, long shaped card as a trunk and put underneath the tree.
