Great Golf and Wonderful Wonka

 On Tuesday, me and my family went to golf and the cinema.

At golf, I got 2 holes in one and came 3rd.

My brother got 2 holes in one and came 2nd.

My dad got 1 hole in one and came 4th.

My mum got 2 holes in one and came 1st.

We also won a free round for 1 person.


Then we had lunch and it was yummy.

Then we went to watch Wonka at the Cinema and it is now my favourite movie ever.

 Today's Brilliant Bird is The Wonderful Woodpecker!

Scientific Name: Picidae

Domain: Eukaryota

Lifespan: 4-11 Years

Length: 20-24 cm 

Weight: 70-98 G

Diet: Bugs, Spiders, Chicks and Eggs of smaller birds, Nuts and Seeds

Population: 3000- 6000 Pairs in The UK

Country from: UK, South East Asia, Africa and mostly South America

Super Power: Uses their beaks to make holes in the trunks of trees to eat their food!

Gestation period: 10 - 12 Days! 

How many types: 240!! That's nearly FIVE times more species than the Cat!

FUN FACTS:

Only MALE Woodpeckers have a red patch on the back of their head!

Even though the Woodpecker bangs it's beak on tree trunks all day, it NEVER gets a head ache!
