Swordfish

 This week's Fantastic fish fact file is a Swordfish.

Length: 455 cm

Diet: fish and invertebrates.

Fun facts:

They are found in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific ocean.

They first appeared in 1758.

They came from Japan and Spain.

My birthday!

 On Friday 18th March it was my birthday!

I turned 11 as i was born in 2012.

I had 15 birthday cards and a lot of presents. 

I was given money, books, lego, playmobil, a teddy and Everton f.c. goodies.

I had a golf party with 4 other friends and i came last.

We had a delicious chocolate cake, which my mum made for me.

I loved my birthday and thank you to everyone who gave me a present or card.

I hope you had a great mothers day.

How to bake Banana bread

 This week's Beautiful bake is a banana bread.

Ingredients:

. 140 g of softened butter 

. 140 g caster sugar 

. 2 large beaten eggs

. 140 g self- raising flour

. 1 tsp baking powder 

. 2 very ripe mashed bananas

. 50 g icing sugar 

Instructions:

Step 1: Heat the oven to 180C/ 160C fan/ gas 4.

Step 2: Butter a 2lb loaf tin and line the base and sides with baking parchment.

Step 3: Cream 140 g softened butter and 140 g caster sugar until light and fluffy and then add 2 beaten eggs with a bit of the flour.

Step 4: Fold in the remaining flour, 1stp of baking powder and 2 mashed bananas.

Step 5: Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for about 50 minutes or until cooked through. Check the loaf at 5 minute intervals from around 30-40 minutes in the oven by testing it with a skewer, as the time may vary depending on the shape of your loaf tin.

Step 6: Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack.

Step 7: Mix 50 g icing sugar with 2-3 tsp of water to make icing.

8. Drizzle the icing over the loaf.

9. EAT!!

Lifespan: 1- 2 years

Length: 4.3 ft

Weight: 22 Pounds

Diet: Crabs, clams, snails, small fishes and other octopuses

Fun facts: 

They have 3 hearts.

They are solitary.

They are masters of camouflage.

Red nose Day 2023!

On Friday 17th March it will be Red Nose Day, so today i will tell you about it.

On Friday 5th February 1988, comic relief started red nose day. They started this to raise money for people who live in poverty and have an illness.

Every year, they create a red nose for people to buy so that they can raise money.
This year their nose is designed by Sir Jony Ive. 

Every year, comic relief do a show to raise money and lots of celebrities host the show.

Sir Lenny Henry has been a great part of comic Relief.
