Komodo dragons

 This week's Rad reptile is a Komodo dragon.

Facts:

Scientific name: Varanus Komodoensis

Lifespan: 30 years

Length: 2.3-2.6 m

Height: 10 feet

Diet: goats, pigs, deer and smaller komodo dragons

Fun facts:

They're from Australia.

They're venomous.

They can take down enormous prey.

Leicester new walk museum

 On Friday, me and my family went to Leicester new walk museum and it was brilliant.

We went to the wild space room, where we saw lots of stuffed animals and learned about them. we even saw an echidna ( look at my Echidna blog for more info)

We went to the dinosaur room, where we saw a giant dinosaur.

We went to the ancient Egypt room where we saw very very very old pots and mummies.

Finally, we went to the 80s room, where we saw old toys, 80s video games, collectables, sweets and a poster of back to the future.

It was great.

Next week, we look at Komodo dragons, the top 10  wooden marble runs of 2022 and my mum's birthday.

Red-eyed tree frogs

 This week's Rad amphibian is a red-eyed tree frog🐸.

Facts:

Scientific name: Agalychnis callidryas 

Lifespan: 5 years

Length: 2-3 inches

Weight: 6-15 g

Diet: crickets, roaches, mealworms, waxworms, calciworms and hornworms (thats a lot of worms 😄)

Fun facts: 

They use the element of surprise.

They can be pets.

It takes 10-12 months for it to reach adult size.

Stratford upon Avon

 On Friday, me and my family went to Stratford Upon Avon.

 Did you know that William Shakespeare lived at Stratford Upon Avon?

We went to Shakespeare's home and found out all about him, saw his home and we saw his shoes!!!

Then, we all had lunch. I had cucumber Sushi and everyone else had a Cornish pasty.

After this, we went to the MAD museum. We saw LOTS of crazy machines and brilliant marble runs. I made a marble run as well.

Finally, We played table tennis and then we had dinner.

Panther Chameleon

Lifespan: Males: 5-7 years Female: 2-3 years (after laying eggs)

Length: Males: 30-51 cm Female: 20-36 cm

Weight: Males: 200-220 g Females: 140-160 g

Diet: Crickets, Mealworms, Waxworms, Superworms, Grasshoppers, Silkworms and Madagascar roaches

They have tonged feet.

They have a prehensile tail.

They can see in 360 degrees.

My weekend with the Ryder's

 As i said on my first blog, I have a friend called Abi. On Saturday, Abi and her family came to visit me and my family for the weekend.

Yesterday, They came and we had lunch. Then we went to Wildwood (a restaurant in Market Harborough).  After that, we went to The cherry tree (a Pub in Market Harborough). We then went home and watched Descendants.

Today, we played the wii and had a big brunch. Then Abi, William, Matt and Nat left and went back to their home.
